Schools and Education in Round Rock

Students in Round Rock are served by the Round Rock Independent School District. The area serves parts of Austin and Cedar Park as well. This is one of the largest school districts in Greater Austin with over 35 elementary schools, 11 middle schools, and 7 high schools. For 2021, Round Rock has a total student enrollment of 50,204 and a student achievement and school progress score of 89 out of 100.

For tertiary education, Texas State University – Round Rock offers education programs from undergraduate to graduate studies. Other colleges and universities are South University – Austin and Austin Community College – Round Rock Campus. St. Edwards University and the University of Texas – Austin is located less than 20 miles from the region.
