Cirque Italia Gold

Barton Creek Square Mall
Cirque Italia presents “Aquatic Spectacular.” The name reflects a unique attribute under the tent, as the show features a custom-designed water-stage that travels from city to city. The stage holds 35,000 gallons of water that performers dazzle over while thrilling the audience with every move. With this “unique feature” under the tent, guests will be surprised, for it’s a show of its own!
January 6 – 9
Dating back to 2003, Free Week is an annual event focusing on eating, drinking, and celebrating live music. It served as a way to keep performances and live music going at clubs and venues during a time where the city’s liveliness starts to die down (the beginning of January, one of the coldest points of winter). And now, it stretches from Austin to Nashville, bringing in thousands of attendees eager to hear great music for free.

The Roosevelt Room
Learn how to craft delicious cocktails like the pros with this two-hour introductory course covering all of the cocktail basics, led by members of our talented bar staff. Attendees will learn the tools of the trade, and how to properly measure, shake, stir, strain, and garnish. Each attendee will also get to enjoy three cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, all while learning a brief history of the drinks being made.

Ballet Afrique Presents: Duke Ellington’s Nutcrack
Ballet Afrique presents a colorful interpretation of a holiday classic set to the music of Duke Ellington’s: The Nutcracker Suite. Watch them at the Moody Amphitheater on January 22nd, 2pm. More details here.
Austin Trap and Paint
Enjoy a memorable time painting with friends or loved ones accompanied by trap music tunes from the latest and hottest artists, drinks, gourmet food, and fun vibes. The event will be from 2 pm – 1 am, so whether you make this your first stop of the evening before continuing to hit the streets of Austin, or you decide to make it an all-day or all-night main event, plenty of fun will be had by all. Downhill to Downtown 3M Half Marathon
Whether you opt to stand on the sidelines to cheer on runners or compete yourself, the 3M annual half marathon is an event to put on your to-do list while in Austin. Passing some of Austin’s most popular locations and landmarks on a 13.1-mile course, that mostly goes downhill, this race is considered to have one of the fastest courses in the country.
