1. Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park

With over 200 acres for you and your dog to explore, Walnut Creek at the Metropolitan Park is one of the best off-leash dog parks in Austin. The area is popular with mountain bikers due to the hilly terrain it offers. There is also a creek where your dog can take a dip or swim and splash at. Never a dull moment within the large park, there’s so much for you and your pet to explore!

2. Red Bud Isle

Another gorgeous spot in Austin to take your dogs where they can enjoy running off-leash and splashing at the water! This pet-friendly area is surrounded by water on three sides and visitors are reminded to keep the area clean and avoid any mess left behind to preserve the cleanliness of the water. Red Bud Isle is a 13-acre island that is well-maintained by volunteers and offers dirt trails next to the tall, shady trees perfect for a morning or afternoon walk with your dog.

3. Zilker Metropolitan Park

Zilker is a popular outdoor space in Austin for large gatherings, events, and music festivals. There is over 300 acres of grass for you and your dog to run around off-leash, play some fetch or play a game of frisbee. 5. Cedar Bark Park

Cedar Bark Park is a 5-acre fenced dog park located in Veterans Memorial Park at Cedar Park, TX. There are amenities in the park that are solely just for Fido such as the natural dog pond, pet waste stations, benches, dog showers, drinking fountains, and natural features that your pet will love, a place like that accommodates every pet’s needs will surely make it on our list of best dog parks in Austin. 6. Round Rock Dog Depot at Lake Creek Park

If you have small dogs that are still getting familiar with the outdoors, Round Rock Dog Depot at Lake Creek has two sections for large and small dogs. This leash-free area is a fenced park that features agility elements such as a frame contact ramp, tire jamp, and ample open space for running and playing!

The park has three areas, a large dog area, small dog area, and a rotation area to allow grass to grow and the general maintenance of the park. Food both for humans and dogs is not allowed within the dog depot and all dogs must be vaccinated and a Round Rock license.

7. Brushy Creek Lake Park

Brushy Creek Lake Park is a 90-acre park that offers active and natural resource-based recreational opportunities. You can take your pet with you on walks on the trails, forests, and wide-open fields. In the lake, fishing, non-motorized boating, and wildlife observation is allowed.
